- What Is Your Training Style? My training is relationship based. It is teaching the human how to be a better leader for their dog. I will guide you through concepts that will help you strengthen your connection. The actual works falls on you.
- Do You Consider Yourself a Force-Free (FF) or Pure Positive Trainer? No. But to the FF or PP side of the training spectrum, relationship based training leans more to the balanced side of training.
- Do You Use Food or Treats for Training? I am not a treat based trainer. I do have areas in training where I work with food. The work I do with food is trying to prevent resource guarding, to prevent excitement about food or treats, and to prevent creating a dog who will only respond to me if I have food. The Puppy Camp program does include food work.
- Do You Fix My Dog and Hand It Back To Me? No. Only YOU can fix YOUR relationship with YOUR dog.
- Do You Always Train on The Transitional Leash or Figure 8/ Power Loop? It depends on the dog which tools I use.
- How Many People Work at Happy Social Dog? One person. Occasionally for workshops or certain training cases there are volunteers who are shadowing.
- Where is Your Facility Located? I have no facility. This is in your home training or if needed, you or your dog can come to me. When training is at my home I have a limit to the number of dogs who can be here due to city and HOA rules.
- Why Wont You Call Me Back? At this time requests for me to call you to discuss how I train or training philosophy will not be honored. All of that information can be found within this website. Unfortunately there is just not enough time in the day to speak to everyone. Time spent on the phone is time away from dogs whose owners have paid for training. Please feel free to dig into this website, follow our Facebook and/or Instagram account where we strive to be transparent. The dogs we are working are our first priority, selling our service is not.
