Please be aware that this program depends significantly on owner involvement in the training process. You will receive homework assignments and are required to submit video proof of your progress on a weekly basis. If you are unable to commit to daily homework, this program may not be suitable for you.
- Class size limit. One puppy per camp day. Additional helper dogs or teacher dogs will float in and out during the 5 weeks. All teacher and helper dogs are up to date on vaccinations and are carefully selected.
- Age limitations. I will accept puppies 7/8 weeks old up to 5 months old.
- My preference is you start your puppy early. Do not wait until fully vaccinated. The risk of parvo on my property is low.
- If you have a puppy coming younger than 7/8 weeks old, please contact me to discuss.
- If you have a puppy closer to 5 months old and they are a large/giant breed, please contact me to discuss.
- Proof of current vaccinations required. To start it must be 7 days after puppies 1st round of shots to attend.
- Proof of negative giardia & negative for parasites fecal test is required. This is non-negotiable.
- A signed Contract is required. Must agree to not visit dog parks, only interact with known, healthy, fully vaccinated dogs, not share water bowls, not be in the river. All health issues (loose stools, coughing, colored discharge from eyes/nose, ear infections, kennel cough) all must be reported and discussed. Do not bring your dog to camp sick. I do offer make up dates the week after camp wraps up.
- Video homework will be sent at the end of each camp day. If owner has not reviewed homework video prior within 7 days then they will lose access to video. If owner misses a second week of viewing, then the contract will be subject to termination.
- Video proof of homework is required by the owner weekly. Short video should be texted to trainer for assessment. If homework is not being done by client then the contract will be subject to termination.
- Your puppy must come every week for the 5 weeks.
- If your puppy misses more than two weeks in a row, your puppy’s slot will be filled. (unless this is pre-arranged/discussed in advance).
- Illness (dog or human) and/or vacation will be taken into account.
- It is your responsibility to keep up with your attendance. I do not text reminders out that I expect your puppy in camp that week. Please put in your calendar.
- I require at least 24 hours notice if your puppy cannot attend camp day. If your puppy is sick we can include make up date, possible next day or later in week.
- Client must already be crate training at home (all daytime naps and nighttime). This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Crate work is a requirement as part of this program.
